I had already been in the room for two previous nights. After the second night I did feel some itching and a large bump on my back, but did not think much about it. On the third night, I woke up about 1:30 am, and felt something crawling on me. I immediately turned on the lights and observed two rather large bed bugs scurrying away. I killed the one on my leg and captured the other one. I then lifted up the covers and found two more that were much smaller. I reported it to the hotel right away. The clerk came up to my room and observed the bugs. She said she had been working at the hotel for over a year and this was the first instance that she heard of. She apologized and already had keys for another room on another floor for me. She also said that the hotel would reimburse me for my stay. She further advised me to see the manager in the morning. Not that it matters because my employer had already paid for the room. I moved to my other room and checked the bed. I observed no bugs.
