My family had an awful experience at the Rossen Center in Orlando, Florida. Our stay was from 11/27/24-11/29/24. We stayed in a single king, room 1438. When we arrived, our key didn’t work, and we had to wait for maintenance to come fix the door. Once inside, we noticed the bathtub was clogged, and the water wouldn’t drain properly. But the real issue came when my wife and I started itching the morning of the 29th and we soon noticed bites that looked consistent with bedbugs. We searched the room and, to our horror, found multiple bedbugs under the bed sheets. We immediately went to the front desk, and when we showed the staff, they didn’t seem concerned. The manager offered us a 25% discount on one night’s stay (like 25 dollars), which we found completely unacceptable, given the severity of the situation. I told her that wasn’t good enough and left. She did offered to have our belongings cleaned but said it would take several hours. We couldn’t wait because we had to travel back home. To make matters worse, we had our 11-month-old baby with us. Even after I showed the manager a bedbug that I had trapped in a plastic bag, she refused to confirm it was a bedbug, stating that a third-party company would need to come out next week to assess the situation. I’m appalled by the lack of urgency and the way we were treated. I will never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid this place. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of amenities, but is it worth the bedbugs?
