Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I stayed at cabin 1 for 4 nights, Oct 28-Nov 1, 2024. I first noticed a couple bites on Oct. 31st, but I assumed it was a spider bite. More bites started showing themselves on my neck , arms and hands the following day. When I got home, I called the Spirit Lake Casino and asked them to check the room, because I was suspicious these were bedbug bites. The person who answered the phone said they already knew there were bedbugs there and they would have it sprayed. When I asked why they let us stay there, they said the person who checked out today had reported it just today. Since I and family members were those people, that was confusing, but maybe he meant it had first been reported that day.
