We stayed in the Home2 Suites on 9/20-9/21. Following return to our room after breakfast, I found the bug climbing on the sheets. I collected the bug with a tissue and placed it in a plastic bag. We contacted the front desk to alert of the situation. She came to the room and stated oh yes that is a bed bug. I already knew this because of my job. She asked to take the bug and told us that her manager would reach out to us on Monday (9/23). We placed all of our belongings in a large garbage bag and left. Come Monday, no call from the manager. My husband then called and she told him that the bug was tested and it was a beetle. When he alerted me what she had said, I asked if she provide any proof. So I attempted to call everyday the remainder of that week leaving messages with a request to return contact. When I never heard back, I then emailed corporate (Hilton) who after 3 days responded that they would not be able to intervene because it would be site specific due to bed bugs. They provide an email address which I emailed and still have not received a response after a week. I have photo evidence of said bug but am very frustrated that no response from the hotel was received.
