2024-12-17 I looked for bedbugs when we checked in very thoroughly. We unpacked and saw one crawling up the wall. They moved us to a new room. We also found a roach.

We stayed at the Thousand Hills Resort on the night of September 14, 2024. We thoroughly checked the beds for bedbugs, as we always do. There were no signs of bedbugs. We went to bed and our daughter woke us up at 4:30am because there was a bug crawling on her pillow. It was a bedbug. We immediately grabbed a cup to capture it. We took it down to the front desk. She offered us a new room, but we opted to pack up and leave. We were not taking chances on more bed bugs. She told me that she could not refund our room and that I would need to call a manager during normal business hours. She did not seem startled at the appearance of a bedbug.

We rented the hotel for 11/24/2024-12/1/2024 and had to leave a day early. My husband woke up to bites all over him and at first we thought he had a reaction to something from Thanksgiving, but then we searched the room after our second night. We found bedbugs in the corner of the bed in the upper left part of the box spring . We called staff, Conveniently the maintenance guy just left and the manager would call us next day. The manager has yet to call back after the 1 time we've talked to him he said he'd call us back after the exterminator *confirms* bed bugs and that they've taken care of the issue. He did offer us 5 nights at a downtown location, but after seeing the reviews, I will not be going back. We have pictures, captured some in a cup and left water in it on the counter hoping they'll drown. But we have enough to show they were there. We have a phone log showing we've called and left messages and somehow the manager is never there or in a meeting. Even after taking precautions we ended up with them in our house. We've paid an exterminator and purchased a steamer to do our own maintenance. It's been a headache.
