July 24,2024 Approx 8:00 a.m. Upon awaking I noticed a small circle of blood which was smeared. I then saw a tiny almost poppy seed small reddish brown bug moving about 18" from the spot. I called front desk and was told there was nothing they could do because the hotel was full. Half hour later front desk called to say they found a room but I was already packed - not trusting that any other room would be safe. I took photos and saved the bedbug. As we were leaving the lady at front desk apologized and said no charge. What struck me was the routine, normal manner in which staff responded - not surprise . And no one offered to check the room or even ask to see the evidence of bed bugs.
