My family and I went to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Glendale, CA, to celebrate my husband's birthday for the weekend. We stayed from Friday, January 26, 2023, until Sunday, January 28, 2023, in Room #307. Whenever we travel to the Los Angeles area, we normally stay at the Holiday Inn hotels since we have never had any issues or bed bug problems until now. Also, I always check on this bed bug registry website and two other bed bug websites to see if any bed bug reports have been made in any hotel we plan to stay in. This Holiday Inn hotel that we stayed in did not have any bed bug reports, so we felt safe enough to stay a few days. Unfortunately, to our surprise, when we came back home, I put our dirty clothes into the laundry basket, and out came a bed bug crawling from one of my son's sweaters. I quickly picked it up, smashed it so it could die, and flushed it down the toilet. Right after that, I began washing ALL of my clothes that we had taken on our trip, whether it was dirty or clean. My family and I have been using the Holiday Inn hotels for over 10 years, and we have NEVER had an awful bed bug experience until now. I am disappointed with the Holiday Inn hotel chains because they normally keep their rooms bed bug free. I am very surprised to have had this experience with them. I have filled out their feedback survey regarding our stay and complained about the bed bug experience. I am waiting to hear a response from them. No refunds.
