10/1/2023 We stayed one night. I slept on the pullout bed. The next morning I was lounging in bed and found a bed bug crawling on the blanket. I trapped it in a cup and left it on the windowsill. There were no other signs of infestation on the bed, bedding or couch. I informed the front desk. Later that day, I developed 4 very itchy welts on my neck, 1 on my chest and 1 on my right calf. The next day someone called from the hotel (left a message) saying that it was an isolated “incident” and there was no further evidence and that bugs “tend to come out in warmer weather”. (!!!) I’m worried they don’t understand how bed bugs work and they won’t take proper steps to stop infestation.
