1. 09/05/2023 a little before midnight-09/10/2023 2. I was laying in bed when a large female bedbug ran across my pillow after biting me. I squished it and then went down to tell the staff and the manager. I had asked him upon check in if they sprayed for bed bugs and he said "yes, monthly" but when he came up to check, he acknowledged that it was a bedbug and then searched the bed, he was hoping I had brought it with me..... but we found a fist sized colony behind the bed/against the wall on the box spring. That would have taken multiple months to form. I felt trapped there because now it was around midnight and all my clothes and belongings were contaminated with potential bedbugs. They started to switch me to a room on a different level, but then they switched me to another room that was a few doors down from 105 with the promise that they would spray my stuff to get rid of any bugs instead. It was a suite, but it smelled horrific. The idea was that they would put me and my dog in one room and spray the rooms that my stuff was in and the original room. He sprayed the original room with something and turned on a heater. He waited until Saturday to do the room I was staying in. He used one fogger for 16x16x8 rooms.The suite was bigger than that. He did not spray. My stuff was in the bathroom with the door closed. I just ended up throwing about $300 worth of stuff away. And no. I did not get a refund. $732 for the stay, $300 of stuff thrown away, $200 of new things bought so far, almost a week of very little sleep and extreme discomfort (it was my birthday on the 7th but I felt trapped there because I didn't want to bring the bugs to my car->home-> family's homes. I spent 4 hours in the bathtub because it was the only spot that felt safe.) He says the rooms are sprayed monthly, but he doesn't have professionals do it. He just uses a fogger or spray for specific rooms that have obvious infestations. All that does is spreads the bugs to other rooms. P.s. I have pictures.
