Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We booked and paid for a 2 bedroom condo on the beach at Splash thru Best Beach Getaways. Our dates were July 7 to July 11, 2023. We were in the condo less than 8 hours and found adult bed bugs in the room with the bunk beds. I have several photos of the infestation and photos of my granddaughter that was bitten. We were given a full refund of the cost of the condo rental but it ruined our vacation. We had NO ASSISTANCE finding another place to stay, I hoped BestBeach Getaways would help us find someplace else and was told "its the week after the 4th there is nothing open". No attempt was made to assist us. Needless to say we were very disappointed in the service we received. We are out the money we had to spend on the hotel plus all the food we planned to use while in the condo. I have been advised to contact the Health Department for Bay county and the Better Business Bureau.
