I live at 2821 Laclede Station Rd, Maplewood, MO 63143, for the last 8 years. This past Sunday 6/4/23, I noticed a bed bug walking across the ceiling of my kitchen. On Monday 6/5/23, I found a second bed bug on the kitchen floor. I have 10 years of hotel management experience and I have unfortunately dealt with several bed bug scenarios in my past and coordinating with extermination companies and those affected, not only with incidents in the hotel rooms, but I had my own experience back with this apartment in July 2017. At that time, the apartment manager coordinated with the exterminator and they were able to visit all apartments in this building and found an infestation in an apartment down the hall on the other side of the hallway. The apartment manager can confirm this information. The apartment manager confirmed that he contacted the exterminator the company uses, and that exterminator confirmed that my photos were bed bugs. This was a verbal communication on Monday 6/5/23. In 2017, the exterminator had responded within 1-2 days once bed bugs had been reported, including the apartment manager's own apartment that was affected as well. As of Sunday 6/11/23, the exterminator has still not visited my apartment although bed bugs have been confirmed. The apartment manager told me that he reached out to the apartment company to ask if an exception could be made for visiting and treating my apartment as soon as possible. I have not received a follow from the apartment company. I also explained the entire situation with details to the apartment company email with no response. I also explained the entire situation on their app with a maintenance request, plus the attached images and videos. They did not respond other than my request was processed and a technician is visiting the afternoon of Tuesday 6/13/23, which will then be 9 days since first reporting the confirmed bed bugs on Sunday 6/4/23. I suspect that there is a potential infestation somewhere either within the walls of my apartment and the surrounding ones, or the infestation is directly in the apartment either above, or to my left and right (I do not have a tenant below me). During my hotel years, our management had to react quickly when we had a bed bug scenario.
