5/17/2023 Room was fairly clean. Was one of the best rooms in the hotel, according to the front desk. Value was good for the money. Did my normal entry check before unpacking bags, open the windows pull the sheets off the bed, pull the mattress protector off the bed and laying there was one of the biggest bedbugs I could’ve imagined. About half the size of a pencil eraser. Took a picture, left the bed, pulled back and told the front desk I wanted to check out. He asked me why I showed him a picture and he asked what it was. When I told him he apologized and said they hadn’t had a problem, but had a procedure in place to take care of the problem and would close off the room and take care of the issue. Booked through a third-party and he gave me the paperwork showing that they credited everything back to the third-party and told me I would need to get a hold of them to make sure it was taken care of on their end. He was plenty nice about it there’s just no way I could stay in another room at that hotel. I stay in hotels Several nights a week and this is the first time I’ve had an issue with starting to get lackadaisical on my check in procedure but luckily I didn’t this time and it saved me. Always check your bed.
