02/28/2023 Woke up at 4AM to find single bedbug, engorged, crawling away from my two year old son. Moved the pillow he was sleeping on to find another bedbug on the underside of the pillow and another crawling from the head of the mattress. I took photos, my wife and I packed up the room with just the intention to leave and find other arrangements. The desk manager apologized when my wife brought up the issue and offered a different room. When we said we would rather leave he told my wife it was no real problem and dismissed her out of hand. He then turned to me and asked me what I wanted to do while making dismissive gestures towards my wife. Overall I got the impression that the situation would not be handled beyond placating or getting rid of us.
