2/18/2023 We stayed at the guest cottages this past week and encountered bed bugs in our cottage. I only spotted two large live ones crawling on two separate beds. It seemed as though the cottage was very clean, but bed bugs were still present. Once we reported them to the staff, we left the cottage for the day and they sprayed and had the regular daily cleaning service done. The person who sprayed wrote up a report and said that they didn't see any bed bugs when spraying therefore the cottage did not have bed bugs. But I took pictures of the bed bugs we encountered and even had those pictures checked by someone outside of hotel property and yes they were confirmed bed bugs. I also am covered head to toe in bites from these bed bugs and am now out over $250 from trying to clean all of our bags and clothing to keep them from coming into our house back home. The only thing the hotel did for us is deduct a resort fee for the day. They didn't move us to another cottage or offer us any other assistance and we stayed in the cottage for 4 nights. Overall would not go back. The only thing that is keeping me from returning is how they handled the bed bug situation. For the amount of money we spent it's just not worth the hassle.
