12/29/2022 We drove 10 hours to Orlando overnight and spent the day in a theme park. We checked into the hotel late. We typically check for bedbugs immediately, but, having been awake for 24 hours and not having traveled since the pandemic, we were just out of practice. My daughter saw an adult bug crawling across the comforter. We immediately captured it and began checking the mattresses, pillows, and headboards. We didn't see any other evidence on the beds. When we began unpacking our bags on the dresser by the TV, immature bedbugs were crawling everywhere. As we began to wash our hands, immature bugs were in the sink and ran and hid between the marble countertop and sink basin. I went to the front desk and reported it. The night manager was extremely nice and apologetic and gave us the only other room available for the night. As we entered the room, we found another adult bedbug plus two roaches. We asked for a refund and found another hotel at 1:00 am.
