My family of five stayed at this hotel Saturday, September 3rd - Sunday, September 4th, 2022 and were staying in room 231, which is a multi-unit hotel with 3 floors. It was past midnight and I could not fall asleep due to constant feeling of little bites. While reading on my phone, I could see in the dark from my phone light out of my peripheral a tiny bug crawling on my pillow next to me. I woke my husband up, turned the lights on, and we both discovered lots of bed bugs crawling all over our bed, under our bed sheets, under our pillows and on top of our pillows, crawling along the wall behind our bed frame and blood spots on our bed from the bug bites. We took pictures and videos. My husband walked down to the front desk and reported it. He requested a new room on a different floor far away from this room, but told him she only had one room available and it was on the same floor at the end of the hallway, which was only 3 doors down, room 241. We requested they remove all the existing bedding in the new room and also requested complete new bedding but she said she was the only staff on duty that evening so we would have to strip the bedding ourselves and place them outside in the hallway. She gave my husband black bags for us to place our belongings in. My husband asked if there could be any laundry service for our things to be washed and again since she was the only staff on duty we would have to wait until the morning at 8am to do so and they would give us quarters to do so ourselves. Frustrated, tired, and scared not wanting to carry the bugs to our new rooms, my husband requested the quarters in that moment to begin washing ALL 5 of our belongings in the middle of the night. The washing went on until 5 in the morning. She said she was sorry we had to go through that and that she had notified her manager and they would refund our full stay. She also said they hadn’t had bed bugs since 2 years ago and said they no one had stayed in that room Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday before us so she doesn’t know how, or when the bugs would have gotten there or if someone could have brought them t the room because they hadn’t had any previous complaints. The entire experience was horrifying. It is now Sunday, September 4th and we are starting to see red bug bites on our bodies. Horrible experience and a nightmare.
