Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Our stay was 7/16/2022-7/23/2022. We physically saw bed bugs on the couch and reported it to the owner that night with pictures and videos of the actual encounter. He claimed they were sand fleas and/or kelp flies and that bed bugs aren't common in San Diego and it probably came from outside. He has stated he had Terminix out to inspect the property for bed bugs(while the tenants that were scheduled after us were already in the house) and no evidence was found on either the couch and or any beds nor was there any sign of any pests but occasion ants. We also sent pictures to a professional exterminator specializing in bed bugs and confirmed what we saw was indeed bed bugs. Since leaving my entire family has bumps all over. We have confirmed with our primary care doctor that they are bed bug bites! I also sent this information to the owner in a form of a text message and it has been two days now and no response on his end.
