Checked in to room 220 on June 30, 2022 for a two night stay. We have stayed here before. We used two queen beds. My daughter awoke around 11:30 pm to find a bug on her pillow. We killed the bug and looked through her sheets, duvet etc. and did not see any others. We inspected my bed and initially saw nothing, but then did see two tiny bugs on the bedspread. We did not thoroughly inspect mattress and headboards as we were just too tired. We notified the hotel manager the next morning who was pretty confident "we don't have bed bugs at this hotel." We showed him pictures of the bugs and asked him to do a full room inspection while we were away. He assured us what we saw was a beetle. He said they would fully check out the room. I never heard a word from the hotel throughout the day and as we returned around 9 pm, we found our room literally turned upside down. We returned to the front desk and were informed that we did, in fact, have bed bug infestation in our room. We were given another room, a can of Lysol, a cup of quarters, and encouraged to remove all our clothing a put in the dryer, then run through a compete wash and second dry cycle. We finished this process at 11:10 pm. The next morning I asked to see the same manager. He was mildly apologetic and said he would be giving us room credits and refunding our stay. I told him it would have been most appropriate to have contacted me during the day when he determined there was an infestation so I could have altered my plans and been prepared for the necessity to sterilize all our clothing. This seems to be a moderately nice hotel, but I was not at all impressed with the fairly nonchalant way this was handled. If the manager had been more responsive and personal, it would have been easier to forgive. I will not return to this particular hotel.
