Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

May 28th at approximately 1:00am, on my way to lay on the bed I noticed two bugs. Upon further investigation, they were recognized as bed bugs. There were several more. I collected a few in a cup, quickly packed my belongings and went to the front desk. At first, the clerk insisted I come back in the morning because “you can’t check out until morning”. I continuously requested my money back ($209 in cash), explaining I lived out of state and was going to be returning home immediately! My cash was refunded. The man did not ask any questions or want to see the bugs, which tells me this is a regular situation.
