Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Friday, Feb 4th, 2022. I stayed a night at Holiday Inn Express Lakewood WA. On Saturday night 2/5/2022 we saw a bed bug and killed it. Bloody on the sheet that made us realize that's a bed bug. We search on the 2 queen beds and found more bugs. We notified the hotel and was arranged to stay a night at different room the same level. We checked out on Sunday morning. I went home and found out that I have more than 25 bed bites on both arms and more than 5 on both lower legs. I want to report to make sure the hotel take care of this issue, so no one will get bed bug bites like me in the future.
