Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

02/02/2022 to 02/04/2022 We stayed at the holiday lodge for many nights. The first night we got a room that had blood on the mattress protector so they moved us rooms. The following night my kids were asleep and I seen a large bed bug by my 5 yr old. I squished it, took a picture & my boyfriend told the office. They said they would switch us rooms. 3 days later and they still hadn't. All 4 of us are completely bit up.

Woke up early morning July 31, 2022 itching and covered with bed bug bites. No fitted sheet on bed, and sheet couldn't be tucked in on all sides, so mattress exposed during much of night. Management very unresponsive--said we should have told them, and gotten a new room (only there for one night). Refused to refund anything. Bed bugs only one of many problems from sink not connected to water pipe to non-functioning wifi.
