Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

8/15 I woke up at 3:30 in the morning with an itchy forearm. I thought it was a mosquito, so I turned on my flashlight and look at the walls and ceilings. When I stood on the bed to look at the ceiling, I flipped the pillow, which revealed a big old nasty bed bug. My arm now has a swelled up lump about the size of a baseball. Looks like three bites right in a row. Classic bed bug bite. I turned the bed bug (in a cup) over to hotel management. They just said theyâ€™d investigate.
