Friday, July 30 to Saturday, July 31, 2021. My husband and I each had our own queen sized bed in room 117.A few hours after waking on Saturday my husband complained about severe itching of his legs and groin. We had already departed the motel, saying that it was so run down and dirty that we would not be staying there again. Once he told me about how badly he itched I took a look at his legs. He had a large quantity of bites, mainly in groupings of threes, and in the area were the motel pillow he used was between his knees and where his ankles rested on the mattress. I called the motel and notified the lady who was at the front desk both when checking in and checking out. She claimed that the housekeeper had cleaned and never reported a problem. I insisted that it was indeed bug bed bites and all I was trying to accomplish was to notify them so that they could close down the room until it could be treated so that no one else had to go through what my husband was suffering with. She offered to pay his hospital bill if we took him to an emergency room, which surprised us but I still want to warn others to really check the beds in the Kodak and Sevierville area. I've heard of other people having the same problems recently.
