My husband and I had reservations at this hotel for Friday, July 9 through Monday July 12, 2021. We had never stayed there before, but it seemed nice. Due to the pandemic, we hadn't stayed in any hotels or anything like that in the last 16 months, so there was no way we already had a problem. The second night (early Sunday morning), my husband woke up with a couple of very itchy spots on his arm to the point where he couldn't sleep. We looked very thoroughly for any sign of bedbugs, but couldn't find any, so we thought they were mosquito bites from taking a walk at sunset (I was wearing a coat, so we thought that's why I didn't get bit). The next evening, the spots started getting worse and there were more of them, including a very visible trail of 7 bites on the back of his neck in the shape of a ? . The spots on his arms had also filled into more of a trail pattern. Looking it up, we found out that around 30% of people don't react to bed bug bites, so I must not be allergic because I have no visible bites. We still couldn't find any trace of actual bugs, but the floor boards have some large gaps close to the bed and along the wall where they could easily hide. There was also dirt and pet hair in the corners and under the furniture (the hotel allows dogs, but we didn't bring one) and the chairs had many stains on them, so the place could have been cleaner. The next morning, when we were checking out, we complained to the manager and showed her the bites. She did readily give us a refund on two of the three nights of our stay (although we would have gladly paid more to not have to deal with this).
