I checked in at 11:45 on May 17,2021 and upon my arrival the young nan who was at the desk told me I came just in time because he was about to leave. After my registration was complete the young man had a hard time locating a pen for me to sign my hotel agreement second red flag. I asked if he could print me out a receipt and he told me he was unable to print me a receipt but I would receive it in my email, never did. The hallway was smelly and dirty and once I got to my room I was even more skeptical of staying. The room seems cleaned but upon closer inspection I could notice things like the freezer and fridge was not properly cleaned and the top of the stove was a bit grimy as well. I inspected the bed and lifted the mattress but did not find any indication of bed bugs. I was skeptical all night so I left my luggage and clothes on a top shelf in the closet area and when I woke up in the morning there was an adult size bed bug near the top part of the bed who clearly was feasting on me all night. I contacted management immediately and the lady Civil told me that I would receive a full refund. She was apologetic but did not seem surprised when I showed her pictures of the insect full of my blood from eating on me all night, needless to say I will not be staying in any more Extended Stay of America hotels.
