Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We checked in on Friday, March 12, 2021, planning to take the kids to Dollywood for opening weekend. We had stayed here twice before. My wife is very adamant about checking the beds for bed bugs due to hearing horror stories of bed bug infestations. Late Friday night, I saw two bugs on the pillow by our daughter's head. Killed them both. Then, my wife started looking at everything again and found another one on the headboard of the other bed. She videoed it and sent to our exterminator friend who verified that it was, in fact, a bed bug. Disgusted, we got the kids up and checked out. The clerk was new, but very nice. We drove four hours home. We were scared to go to another hotel without having our luggage treated. The owner still hasn't returned our phone calls or contacted us as we had requested which is upsetting. We do anticipate a full refund from hotels.com.
