On Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, I rented Rm 333 at the Relax Inn at 509 N. Pine St. in Warsaw, NC around 10am. At 12 noon, while lying on the bed, I started to itch uncontrollably. After investigating the cause of this u usual reaction, I found a bed bug running across the top sheet of the bed. I killed three bed bug, placed it on a desk on the room, inspected my clothing, and then contacted the front desk from my personal cell phone. I told the front desk agent, who is also the owner of the property, about the bed bug. Upon hearing this news, the owner called me a liar send threatened to call the police on me. This definitely wasn't the response that I expected. The owner then came to the room, and I showed him three very bed bug that has assaulted me. The owner then, with the bed bug in hood hand, denied that it was a bed bug. He threatened to call the police on me and to send my picture to all of the local hotels so that they would ban me. He then stormed out of the room, leaving me there in a confused state. This after denying me a partial/full refund. He even denied me a room change. Then he came back in the room to start inspecting it for bed bugs. The entire time he is inspec the room, he is degrading me and threatening me with police action. I made a rebuttal against his verbal attacks which caused him yo lunge at me with a closed fist as if he were going to strike me. I then felt in fear for my safety. As I was leaving the motel on foot in the cold and rain, the owner continued to verbally assault me but I gave him no more of my energy. I just wanted to get as far away from that place as I could. I received no refund, no apology, and solution to the problem.
