I made this reservation through Hotels.com for a week long business trip (starting Jan 2, 2021). I checked in on Saturday night. The room reeked of weed and there was a hypodermic needle in the hallway. I was too tired to find another place after a long day of travel, so I dealt with it. However, in the morning, I woke to 37 bedbug bites on my arms. I had not gotten any sleep as people rattled my door handle and I felt unsafe. I checked out that morning. The clerk assured me I would be charged for the first night but get a refund for the rest. I also contacted hotels.com and they said they’d put in a request for the refund as well. I got another, cleaner, safer hotel for the rest of my stay. I just got an email from hotels.com that said the manager denied my refund. This is unacceptable. Their room was unsafe and violated health and safety standards. I refuse to pay for that disgusting hotel room. I’ve attached pictures of the bites covering my hands.
