Arrived Friday 11/27 and stayed in for dinner. Went to bed and got up around 10pm to let the dogs out, saw a bug where I had been laying, killed it and googled what it was. No doubt about it, it was an unfed nymph, cleanish body with some weird dark blot. I presented it to the front desk, they couldn’t get ahold of a manager. They sent an engineer up to look at the mattresses but we found nothing. Figuring maybe it was a fluke, we stayed in the room for the night. When I got up at 530am to let the dogs out again, there was a fed nymph where I was laying. I caught it and presented live to the front desk, they couldn’t get ahold of management. I didn’t hear from a manager until around 11am on Saturday 11/28, and they simply offered some points. The GM finally called at 1230, and asked what I wanted as compensation. No dry cleaning, no washing our belongings, no bed bug oven, no bed bug spray for our luggage and nonwashables, no comped night elsewhere, etc. When I requested, it was declined. I asked for a certain amount of points, he said “we can do that” only to find out 4 days later he’s only approving half the points now and is denying his agreement on Saturday. We spent our only full day in Tulsa waiting to hear from management thinking they would do something, only to find out they would do nothing and we had to take care of our belongings ourselves before transferring to another hotel. I am now being told their pest control company didn’t find anymore bed bugs in my room (pretty difficult to believe I’d see the only two) but apparently they did find fleas. I saw no fleas and don’t see any on my dogs, but they are on monthly preventative so fleas probably wouldn’t have been on them long. And they are only closing the room for two weeks.
