We checked into motel 6 around 3:00 pm on 10/22/20 after reserving a room online. Staff were not wearing a mask upon checking in. When we got our room the tv remote was not sterilized and sticking stuff on it and was not in a sealed zip lock bag to prevent the spread of covid 19. We had order take out so we first ate our food then planned to relax from our long drive. As we settled into bed, my spouse noticed a reddish brown bug on the side of the bed. As we took a closer look we realized it was a bed bug just in plain sight then saw all the black spots all over the mattress. We called management to inform them of what we found. They did not see suprised and did not apologize for it. We were at least able to get our room refunded but staff was very rude.

Arrived on July 26th. Checked into room 102 and instantly grossed out by the smell. Was going to stay 4 nights but left a day early after husband developed bed bugs and whole body ended up covered in bites. Management claimed to refund us for the night we left early but never actually got it. After multiple emails and calls to owner still haven't gotten a response.
