Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

My sister, sister in law, and myself went to Masters Inn in Soap Lake for a weekend getaway 8/29/20-8/31/20. We noticed a small red bug on the bed and thought it was a tick. By the time we saw a few more and looked online we realized they were bedbugs. We packed our stuff and left. Went to buy new clothes to wear and went to the laundry mat to hot dry our belongings. I called the owner And told her what happened. She was apologetic but said they were ticks. I explained we knew better and she apologized again and said she would fumigate. She then called back and offered me a $50 credit for my next stay. I have stayed at masters inn multiple times in the past and I donâ€™t want to hurt their small business. But I understand I have the responsibility to inform other guests. My total bill there was $197. I did not ask for a refund but she did not offer one either.
