Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

7/20/20 Woke up with a number of bites-after a shower realized I had significantly more and more. I noticed black spots in bed before I went to sleep, brushed them out and thought nothing of it. Went to doctor. Threw out my entire bag of clothes. Iâ€™m on prescription antibiotic creams. Still healing from these itchy creatures. Over 50 bites. Sent pictures, told I was wrong, that I got it from somewhere else. Only other place I stayed was home. Went to Marriott for remainder of week. I DO have bed bug bites. Spoke to the front desk, they comped my room. Manager did not call me back until I reported it to corporate. Still they still deny I got them from there. Body looks terrible, Iâ€™ll probably have scars for years to come.
