So my boyfriend was transferred up to San Francisco for temporary work due to the COVID 19 pandemic up there. He checked in on Sunday July 12th at 3pm. I went to visit him the following Friday- Saturday accompanied by my dog which they approved for a short stay. After a few days staying with the hotel he said he noticed little bites. He mentioned it but I didn’t notice anything on myself until the day after my stay. He was working quite a few doubles he has been pretty pre occupied, But I told him to double check the beds to make sure it wasn’t bed bugs. Eventually he sent me a video on Sunday of both queen size beds covered in tiny bugs... he said he’s positive it was a bed bug. He asked to be moved and they complied, blaming the infestation on renovations happening down the hall & agreed to at least clean his laundry for him while he was working and place it in the new room. Later on they tried to blame it on the dog, which we treat him monthly for fleas/ticks with K9 advantix & he was just at the vet so I 100% know it wasn’t him, plus we’ve never had any type of situation like that at home. Feeling uneasy about the response he asked his work to move him hotels and they complied. The next morning after switching hotels he brought it up to coworkers and two others said they had them in their rooms too! Now I’m worried we may carry them home, to our cars, or to this new hotel. It’s so gross and it’s even worse when you don’t get a real apology and some ownership of the issue and keep trying to pass it off on someone else even though multiple people has issues with it. Not the most pleasant experience to say the least.
