December 2, 2019, RM 313, Extended Stay Worthington, Ohio. I awoke about 2 am and found my back swollen with bumps and red. Also there were red raised bumps on other parts of my body as well. It was also itching. A friend took pictures which I will try to upload here. I showed the pictures to management. They denied they were bedbug bites and said they could find no bedbugs in the room. However, their bedbug inspection was not adequate, taking only at the most 2 minutes and not even removing bed covers and sheets from the bed. They then rented the room out. The did allow me to change rooms, and I moved as soon as I could. That morning after the bites, I went to the doctor at Ohio State University who identified the bites as having been caused by an insect. She said they appeared to be bed bug bites but that without seeing an actual bed bug she could not say they were bed bug bites in her report, only bug bites. I showed the report to my landlord and her attorney and they still refused to treat the room or acknowledge there were bed bugs. I had already filed a lawsuit against this landlord for verbal harassment, failure to keep the property up, and other problems. I cannot recommend this or any Extended Stay Hotel.
