We stayed at the Baymont on November 10 as we were traveling out of the airport in Rapid City on the morning of the 11th and we had a snow storm on the 10 so wanted to be sure we could get to the airport. The only reason that is important is my daughter was traveling with me and the lady from the Baymont that called me back 19 days after we reported it to them and the one thing she said first is they had no control over our bags prior to checking in. But she knew we only lived 40 miles away and why we were there as we had told them at check. I assure you neither of us have bed bugs at our homes. I have pictures of the back of my daughter neck and arm at 2:30 AM which is when she woke me up to tell me something was biting her and to get up and see what it was. I have never seen a bed bug or seen a bite in my 61 years so was unsure so we shower and left the room and waiting in the lobby until 4:30 AM for the van to pick us up. When we arrived at our destination we got on the computer as by then my bites were also popping out. Yes they were bed bugs so we called the hotel on the evening of the 11th or the 12th. They said they would tell who needed to know. Long story short when they did call me I was offered a free night stay in December which I declined and she told me that did a bug procedure and found no bugs. She also wanted me to describe the bites and I told her I would be happy to send the pictures from my phone that we took of my daughter while still in the room. She declined them and thats when she said we could stay a complimentary night. She also said nobody had stayed in the room since we had stayed there. It was a very nice clean motel. Check in people were friendly.
