We stayed here the night of November 15th thru November 16th. Once we got into our room I immediately began checking our sheets and to my surprise, I found a dead bed bug on the corner of the mattress (picture was taken). I immediately ran downstairs to let the front desk lady know and when I showed her the picture she was quick to dismiss it as an ordinary bug. That is, until i swiped to my google images search of bed bugs and showed her. she was immediately apologetic and switch us to room 307. We go back up to our new room and I immediately noticed the smoke detector was disconnected from the wall and dangling by wires. Very unsafe and I am sure that is a huge fire hazard. Both rooms smelled absolutely awful and like nothing I’ve ever smelled before. No idea what that’s about. When we went to check out the next morning I advised the new front desk lady of our evening troubles and she was very apologetic but told us that since we booked through Hotels.com, that she wouldn’t be able to issue me a refund. I called Hotels.com who then put me on hold to contact the hotel itself to find out what was going on. After a 15 minute hold, I was told that the hotel was only going to give me a $10 refund for our troubles. Absolutely outrageous considering I have a PICTURE of a BED BUG in your HOTEL. I tried to call corporate but I was told their systems were down and to try calling again. I have still not been able to get in touch with anyone and it’s been a week. I have never before experience such a horrible stay at a hotel and I will not be returning.
