I first noticed I had bed bugs about 1 week after I moved in. That was June 2015. I reported it to management and they had it treated about a month later. I noticed they were back within about 2 weeks. Again, I reported it and they had it treated about a month later. This continued for 3 years. By this time, I had learned that everyone had bed bugs. I could see the bites on my neighbors, on people in the elevators. Nobody would talk about it, but they were all scratching. Management began monthly sprays in some of the apartments who would speak up, but not in the apartments of those who remained silent. This goes on for about a year. Now it's 2019, the exterminator says it's pointless, the building is infested. I have them crawling out of my outlets and in every piece of furniture, plant and even picture frames. It's insane. I don't feel the bites anymore, but I can't have guests or go anywhere. I'm on my 3rd couch and don't even have a bed anymore. It's insane. Management doesn't believe me, even though they can walk in and see them crawling on the floor almost like ants or spiders or something. They are massive. My son's found me a new apartment. We are not keeping anything. My neighbors all have them, some as bad as me, others not as bad, but everyone in the entire building has them. If you ask me, the building needs to be condemned.
