OCT. 21-22, 2019 We woke up in the middle of night to find BED BUGS in bed with us in Room 114! The room was FILTHY! The overnight staff didn't seem to truly care. We literally left in the middle of the night, totally exhausted! Supposedly a note was left for the manager. I have called NUMEROUS times & left messages! The manager REFUSES to contact me! I even called the Mississippi County Health Dept. & filed a formal complaint about the filthiness & health hazard that this hotel is exposing weary travelers and the community to! According to Missouri laws, you canNOT shut down a hotel/motel, even when they should be condemned! Of course the manager and owner know this, therefore they continue to run slum-lord hotels! I have not been compensated for our room cost, trauma, cost of laundry or anything else! Headlice is also rampant. They REFUSE to acknowledge that I was there, although Hotwire has record. All 3 hotels are owned by the same person. They are all 3 SKANKY! If you're traveling through, regardless of how tired and exhausted you are, do yourself a favor, save yourself a headache and stress and go to Sikeston or anywhere else! Our experience has been a NIGHTMARE! P.S. We paid for a non-smoking room and they put us in a smoking room.
