10/18/2019 BED BUGS!!! BED BUGS!!!! BED BUGS!!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! IT’S 3:15am we found bed bugs in our previous room (619) 45 minutes ago. So far all the staff know to do was to move us to another room, which we pray doesn’t also have bed bugs and there is no possible chance we can sleep after finding them crawling on us!!! This is supposed to be a high end hotel? This is unacceptably disgusting and there is no chance we are going to bring this home with us so we will see what management does in the morning. Hotel seems nice on the exterior but is disgusting in all reality. Avoid this place like the plague!! I am a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member and I am so thoroughly disgusted I don’t want to step foot in another Marriott after this. Literally feel like my skin is crawling now.

On Saturday, August 28, 2021, at approximately 0900 hours, my wife and I found a bedbug crawling on the bed. We contacted the front desk and spoke with on duty supervisor SC, who advised she could change our rooms. We declined and elected to check out of the hotel. Upon a further inspection of the room we found active bedbugs in the seams of the pull out couch mattress. We also found what appeared to be numerous dried blood stains throughout the pillows on the main bed pillows once the cover was removed, likely indicating that the bedbugs have been in the room for quite some time. At no time did anyone from management or housekeeping elect to look in the room. However, we did take video of the bedbug found on the bed, the pillows, sheets and the pillows out couch mattress, which we showed supervisor SC. Supervisor C advised that the hotel manager JJ would contact us on Monday, August 30 to further address this issue. As of Tuesday, August 31, we have yet to hear from anyone from the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Residence Inn Intracoastal management team.
