9/3/2019 9:00 AM Report of bed bug was made subsequent to 2 occupants identifying multiple raised red bumps as bed bug bites. A complaint was filed with the office who acknowledged and problem with bed bugs specifically stating "Yes, we have a lot of foreigners living here so this happens". We were told that an exterminator was called and it was a good thing that one of the occupants had brought a dead bed bug because it would have otherwise been several weeks to get them there. With the dead bed bug as proof they could be there the next day. They did not offer to provide safe accommodations only to say they would allow us to get out of the lease, as this is our housing for attending school at Immaculata University this is not an option. Additionally, they did not offer to return any rent. We called the office today to ask when we could return to our apartment as we were told it would be 4 hours after fumigation before we could return We were not told when this would take place and when we inquired we were told they weren't sure when the exterminator would get to our apartment but they were on the apartment campus taking care of several apartments. We asked if they could notify us and when they did would it be safe to return. They told us that we cold return but they could not guarantee that the infestation would be eliminated. In fact they said they have to come back 2 additional times and there is still no guarantee. We then asked how they could tell us to go back and live in an uninhabitable environment and the answer was "I am not going to talk to you about this right now". It is now 11:45 on 9/4 and we are essentially homeless and at the mercy of the apartment management (and the bed bugs). More to come.............
