On August 15th, we arrived at the Best Host Inn between the hours of 5 & 6pm to check in. We were greeted with a polite rep who got us checked in quickly. We headed up to the room to change from our swimsuits into our dry clothing, we were headed out to enjoy and evening with our kids at Knotts when we noticed the sheets on our bed were heavily stained. My husband called the front desk and asked them if they usually put stained sheets on the bed? The person responded no, apologized and said they would send someone up. My husband let them know we were changing so please give us a few moments before sending someone up. After 15 minutes of waiting we were prepared to head out, my husband went down to the lobby and asked for the sheets and the person at the desk reassured him he would send someone to do it for us as it was an error on their part. We left to the park, grabbed dinner to eat in the room, our littles were worn. When we arrived back to the room around 9:30 we noticed the linen had not been changed but rather dropped off for us to change ourselves, we then sat the kids down and fed them. After we ate my husband and I went to change the sheets. As we pulled the top sheet the mattress protector lifted, as I went to pull it back, I noticed a bed bug crawling between the mattress crease. I panicked, packed our belongings, disrupted the kids during their meal, made them pack and loaded everything. My husband took photos, videos and went to the front desk to ask for a refund. The person at the front desk then stayed they couldn’t override a refund as they were not in management but could switch our rooms. We decided to drive 2hrs back home. Very disappointing experience. My skin is still crawling.

I stayed in room 107 on August 15th 2021. I woke up with bed bug bites on my legs and feet. No refunds.
