On August 7th I checked into the Econolodge. About 2 hours after checking in I noticed what I thought was a tick crawling across the bed where I was sitting. I attached it to some tape and folded it up to smother it. Pretty quickly more seemed to come out & the bottom of my leg was itching like crazy. I found a few of the smaller ones that had blood in them and another one of the larger ones. I took pictures & brought them to the front desk. All they did was offer me another room. I asked for a plastic bag to quarantine my items & asked about getting my $ back. Since I booked through Hotel Tonight, the front desk advised I needed to call & work with them about it. I sent pictures & spoke to Hotel Tonight who immediately called Econolodge. Econolodge refused the refund request. Now all I can do is hope I don’t bring bedbugs back to my home.
