Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

3/8/19 Upon opening our room door, I told my husband and 3 kids to leave our stuff in the car. The room was dirty and I immediately thought what if there are bed begs, I donâ€™t want to bring them home. We just needed to close our eyes for a few hours as we were driving from our Orlando vacation, home to our Philadelphian suburban home in PA. However, My daughter woke me up at 300am stating that she thought she saw a bed bug. I have never stayed in a hotel room where this happened before. It was crawling on her bed and she said she thought it bit her. I took pictures of her back and the bug that I had captured in one of the plastic cups I found in the room. In investigating my kids bodies, the critter escaped. I then found another one next to my husband and captured it in the same cup and put another one on top to contain it. We woke up my husband and told the lady upfront. She apologized stating that she had no idea and promptly refunded us our money.
