Date and Time of Incident: July 20th, 2019 at 5:20am Incident Report: Checked into Motel around 2am. Room consists of two bed and a bathroom. I went to take a shower and do a full beauty routine. I felt very uncomfortable in the room but knew my counterpart needed a bed to rest in during our road trip. Around 5:15am, I finally decided to venture back to the bedroom having just sat in the bench in the vanity section of the bathroom. Prior to doing a full bed inspection, I sat on the edge of the bed as I was doing routine tasks, switching my shoes, browsing my phone, folding old clothes, when I noticed my butt started to sting. I immediately woke my counterpart up who only slept for three hours and was on a different bed, and had him inspect my butt. I took pictures of my butt and immediately reported to the manager. After the interaction with the manager. I completed an inspection of the bed and have photographic proof of bed bug feces and blood spots throughout the bedding and mattress. Interaction with manager: Unsympathetic, refusal to even inspect the room, treated me as if I was attempting a money grab scam. I was completely in shock of how I was treated. He decided to give me 50% off in order to “appease” me. I was in such a state of shock that I honestly had no clue how to respond from his pure disrespect and to the entire bed bug situation at hand. I later called back the next day, demanding a full refund, and they adamantly refused stating there’s no proof of bed bugs when they would not even go to the room to inspect while I was there. Evidence: I have photographic evidence of bed bug feces, multiple blood spots, blood on the mattress, and what looks like the shell of a bed bug. I also have pictures of the bite across the bottom of both of my butt cheeks where the bottom of my shorts and my legs meet and would gladly show this as evidence. Overall, I am completely shocked that I was bitten even before I was able to fully inspect the bed. I did not have plans to sleep in the motel at all as there were plenty of signs of negligence in the room. Weird, brown spots on the caulking of the bath tub, dark colored top bedding, the bathroom exhaust fan spit out air hotter than the air outside, lighting that just didn’t seem to brighten the room up all the way. I even wiped down every surface i planned on touching prior and showered with shoes on. I just needed some place to freshen up before I continued my road trip. Now I have bed bug scars on my butt!
