Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

On July 11, 2019, around 10:00 - 10:30 pm I checked into room 207 at the Holiday Inn Express. Approximately 2 hrs later Iâ€™m sitting on the bed and my friend traveling with me was sitting on the other bed and my friend who lives nearby was sitting on the bench. I move the pillow and I see a bug crawling. I look and itâ€™s a bedbug. I took a picture of it with my phone and then get one of the plastic cups let it crawl in it and put a piece of cardboard over the cup so it doesnâ€™t get out. We gather our belongings and go to the front desk. Told him and showed him the bedbug, gave him the cup it was in and ask for a refund.
