June 23, 2019 My family and I booked a room for a one night stay. We got to the hotel around 8 p.m. (give or take a few minutes). We ate some take out and then I took the kids down to the pool around 9:10 while my husband went to bed. We came back up around 10:15 and while my youngest was showering I rinsed suits off in the sink. I thought I saw a dead bed bug in the sink, but couldn’t determine for sure so I told myself I was just being paranoid. After getting both kids and myself ready for bed I went to climb into bed around 11:00 (again give or take a few minutes) and as soon as I pulled the covers back I saw a bed bug. I covered it with a cup and told my husband to go get someone from the front desk to look at it. They wouldn’t come up, but offered us another room. I refused to stay and asked for bags to bag up all our stuff that had been sitting on the floor and on the bed. They wouldn’t refund our money at that time, but said someone would call us in the morning. We still haven’t heard from anyone.
