Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I stayed two nights, I checked in 6/16/19 and the next morning swore I was itchy but thought nothing of it, didnâ€™t notice any bites at first. That afternoon/ evening I realized I had a couple bites on me but didnâ€™t make the connection. Woke up the next morning (6/18) super itchy, and covered in swollen, red bites. I lift the pillow, thereâ€™s a bug crawling, I pull the sheets off and the fitted sheet and I find three more crawling around. The hotel staff working said that since I did not report it the first night she was only refunding me the second night. She was very rude and unsympathetic about it.

*** Former Travelodge by Wyndham Colorado Springs*** Name has changed to Rodeway Inn 8/1/24 I took pictures of bedbugs after finding bug bites on my legs and torso. I reported to management and showed them the photos I was blamed for the bedbugs being in the room but was moved to a different room 205 and was told that management would inspect room 206 the next day.. management decided after the 2 minute inspection no bedbugs in room 206 that I had taken photosof bedbugs the previous day. Nothing was done about infestation.
