Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

6/5/2019 Early in the morning I was up reading in bed when I noticed a bug scampering across my pillow I had in front of me which I was resting my book on. I quickly realized it wasn't an ant or spider or other "normal" bug. I squished it and it made a very bloody mess (like squishing a tick that's full of blood) I immediately suspected it was a bed bug. I showed the squished bug to the front desk & they confirmed the problem & moved me to a new room and said they'd close that room for a few days while they take care if it. I'm running all of my clothes & everything through the dryer to ensure I don't take the bed bugs home with me. Once I take it out of the dryer I'm going to put it directly into garbage bags to keep it sterile. When I leave I'm going to put all my stuff that's not been through the dryer into garbage bags & double/triple bag it so I can deal with it safely at home and not contaminate anything along the way.
