Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

The date was March 13, 2019. I had entered room 2125 and placed luggage on the couch and ate my Chic Fil A salad. I then sat on the bed to watch tv. Thankfully, I sat at the foot of the bed and then turned to look at the headboard and saw a small red object. I took a post it note and touched the bug. It started crawling down the headboard onto the mattress. I took a picture and then got a paper towel to smash the bug. Blood squirted out and the bug still managed to crawl away. I sent a pic to my husband(a lab technician who has special training in identifying bugs) he confirmed it was a bedbug. I let the hotel know the situation and showed them the picture and then I turned in my keys and left.
