I checked in at the Hotel on March 12, 2019 and I was given room 216. On March 14 in the morning I woke up with my body covered in bites. I reported to the hotel reception who offered to change rooms and they gave me a new room 418. Throughout the day the bites became very itchy and swollen , I then seeked medical attention at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach. The doctors confirmed that the bites were from bed bugs. I went back to the hotel but could not bear the thought of having more bedbugs. I then checked into another hotel just across the road who accommodated me. I went back to the previous hotel , showed them how bad the bites were. The hotel refunded my stay (which was not enough to cover the new hotel), paid for my prescription medicine (I was given 3 different types of drugs) and offered to pay for the replacement of the suitcase and dry cleaning of the clothes (still waiting for the 832 dollars bill to be paid) I travelled all the way from the Uk to have a beach holiday which was totally ruined by the bed bugs incident. When I asked the management for a copy of the incident report they refused to give me or even refused to show me a copy.
